River Readings Offers Day of Inspiration, Creativity, and Spirituality

Come out and check the depth and flow of your life!

River Readings, which takes place this Saturday at Gulf Coast State College, is a day-long conference of panels and workshops focusing on creativity and spirituality. The quarterly conference founded by Michael Lister, brings together counselors, thinkers, musicians, authors, teachers, spiritual leaders, artists, and many others for in-depth discussions on how attendees can have more productive, successful, and, ultimately, happy lives.
“I’m always inspired by what is shared at River Readings,” Lister said. “It’s so helpful to hear how others are thriving in their creative and artistic endeavors, as well as in their relationships and businesses.”
The theme for this second of four River Readings conferences is “Checking Life’s Depth and Flow” and each session comes from a line of Rumi poetry, such as, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you” or “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
River Readings Spring 2013 will be held on June1st from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast State College in the Language and Lit Building.
The inspirational presentations and panels will touch on a variety of topics, including creativity, spirituality, health, wholeness, purpose, goals, dreams, love, life, compassion, parenting, environmentalism, growth, and relationships, and is only $25.00 for the entire day.
Speakers include Dave Lloyd, Michael Lister, Lynn Wallace, Carrie Fioramonti, Margaret Webster, Jason Hedden, Heather Parker, Heather Clements, Aaron Bearden, Roxanne Lourcey, and many others.
Local musician and speaker Paul McAuliff said River Readings is “One of the finest celebrations of the arts in Bay County. Check it out and nourish your soul.”
